Is Rhian Ramos Falling For Dingdong Dantes?

During the presscon of "Stairway To Heaven", Rhian Ramos kept on saying that she will never fall to a man whose love is already owned by other woman. That was her statement when asked if there will be a chance that she will fall in love with her leading man, who happens to be Dingdong Dantes.

But when the taping of their soap opera started, it seems Rhian has forgotten what she said during the presscon. She is now saying all positive for Dingdong and one tabloid even reported that Rhian admitted that Dingdong has something that make Rhian feels Dingdong is special.

During the guesting of Rhian in "Show Me Da Manny" of Manny Pacquiao and Marian Rivera, who happens to be the real-life girlfriend of Dingdong, some observed Rhian and Marian were not comfortable with each other. That they only said "hi" with each other when they met in the dressing room.

But Rhian was quick to say that there's nothing wrong going on in between her and Marian.

"Hindi kami close at hindi rin po kami magkaaway, kaya di kami gaanong nag-uusap noong mag-guest ako sa 'Show Me Da Manny'," Rhian clarified.

But Rhian was also quick to admit that she likes Dingdong for his height and his dedication to his work.

Apple Chiu stands out among the 'song bees' in their performances in ABS-CBN's "Singing Bee". It is due to this fact that Apple is slowly gaining popularity and becoming a household name in the Philippines.

Her talent reached the bigwigs of Polyeast Records and contracted her to be one of their talents. Today, Apple is going to release her self-titled debut album with the carrier single "Sa Kanya" which was composed and originally sung by Ogie Alcasid.

The album contain ten songs, two original composition and eight OPM classic revivals.

The album contains the songs "Dito Sa Puso Ko", "Ikaw Ang Kailangan", "Hindi Magbabago", "Paano Bang Umibig", "Sa Kanya", "Paano Ba Ang Mangarap" and more.

Willie Revillame Returns to Wowowee Today

After almost two months of absence, Willie Revillame returns to Wowowee today. Willie has been "on vacation" status after his remarks during the late president Cory Aquino's funeral cortege that was inserted in his "Willie of Fortune" segment.

That irked many viewers that resulted into Willie's "two months vacation".

"Tuloy na ho ang pag-asa. Tuloy na ang saya," Willie said in his interview with SNN where he confirmed his return to the noontime show.

Despite of Willie's long absence, Wowowee is still number 1 in the TV ratings nationwide in its time slot.

Martin Nievera Rushed to Makati Med

Martin Nievera was rushed to Makati Medical Center right after his concert with Gary Valenciano dubbed "As 1" at the Mall of Asia" last Saturday night.

The PR man of "As 1" concert, Chuck Gomez, said that dehydration caused Martin to collapse and was immediately brought to the emergency ward of the said hospital.

Pops Fernandez, who was supposed to be one of the guests but wasn't able to go to the concert, rushed to the hospital when she learned about the incident.

As of this writing, Martin is already released from the hospital and is now resting in their house.

In My Life Earned 20 MIllion in the Opening Day

TV Patrol has reported that "In My Life" grossed more than 20 million in its opening day. This proves that Vilma Santos still got a huge following known as the "Vilmanians". However, Vilma said its the powerhouse cast and the people behind the movie should be given the credit.

The movie is still growing strong in the box office in these days. "In My Life" is the first movie of Vilma and her son Luis Manzano. John Lloyd Cruz joins them in the cast where he portrayed the role of the gay lover of Luis.

Geoff Meets Carla Abellana's BF

Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann's top rating soap Rosalinda has been moved to a later slot to give way for "Stairway To Heaven" of Dingdong Dantes and Rhian Ramos. Geoff was asked for his comments in this move by his mother studio and professionaly, Geoff answered: "It's GMA's decision, we have to trust their judgment, siguro now that the ratings of 'Rosalinda' have gone up, mas priority naman nila ang 'Stairway To Heaven'. Sana lang, we won't lose our viewers now na medyo late na kami."

Reporters asked him also about the status of his relationship with Carla Abellana off cam. "She's definitely one of my best friends now," Geoff said.

Geoff also said that he 'accidentally' met Carla's real life boyfriend JC Intal. "Nang ihatid ko siya (Carla) once sa bahay nila, JC was there and he was introduced to me." he said.

His face brightens when he added: "Carla says friends na lang daw sila," smiled Geoff.

Geoff has recently renewed his contract with Hanford briefs and Shirts.

Angel Locsin and Sharon Cuneta in Mano Po 6

There are unconfirmed reports that Angel Locsin has been given a "go signal" by her mother studio Star Cinema to be included in the cast of "Mano Po 6: My Mother" of Regal Entertainment with Mega Star Sharon Cuneta.

It can be recalled that Angel was the personal choice of Sharon to portray as her daughter in the movie. But due to some constraints in her contract with Star Cinema, Angel wasn't able to nod on the project.

According to the source of this latest development, Malou Santos, the executive producer of Star Cinema, already agreed to let Angel join the cast and Angel immediately agreed to accept the said project.

Angel will be the daughter of Sharon in the movie and Angel is very happy and excited for the project since this will be the first time she and Sharon are together in a big project.

Fans are very excited in this development to see their idol Angel Locsin to exchange some dialogs with the mega star Sharon Cuneta.

Filipinos Pacquiao - Vera Headlines Nov. 14 Mega Fights

Come November 14, 2009, two Filipinos will headline two major sports events in the world. Manny Pacquiao is pitted against Miguel Cotto in this year's greatest boxing bout for the WBO Welterweight (147 lbs) title. On the other hand, Brandon "The Truth" Vera will headline UFC 105 in England against UFC great Randy Couture.

For those who doesn't know Brandon Vera, he is a Filipino-American campaigning in the UFC. His father is a Filipino and his mother is an Italian-American. He has been fighting in the UFC early 2000 and made a remarkable career. He has also visited the Philippines and even portrayed as an assassin in "Kamandag" in GMA-7.

Randy Couture is a prominent name in the UFC and this fight will mean a lot for Brandon Vera. Brandon has somewhat a luckluster return to the UFC winning only 2 of his last five fights. But nevertheless, this main event for the UFC will be a big event for the fight fans in England.

UFC and boxing has been in a "cold war" these days. Some observers even say that UFC has already surpassed boxing. UFC always schedule a UFC event everytime there's a boxing event and many of those boxing events were in a lopsided loss against the UFC.

This time, on November 14, two blockbuster events in boxing and UFC are once again pitted against each other. But no matter which is more successful, we can be proud to say that two great Filipinos in the field of sports, Manny Pacquiao and Brandon "The Truth" Vera, had made those events possible.

Kim Chiu is having her stint in the cover of Preview Magazine this September 2009. Kim is going to don the latest trends in this years Autumn/Winter collection for her first solo pictorial for Preview mag.

The magazine is targetting fashionistas saying this will be the trend for them this year.

Kim also reveals her dream role in the magazine. "I want to play triplets. I want to explore three different personalities in one show; a bad, a good and one in between. I've always wanted to be part of a set of triplets, but all I have is myself," Kim said.

Kim Chui is currently in "Tayong Dalawa", with Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca, which is currently reaping its success in the ratings chart.

Marvin Sonsona vs Jose Lopez Fight Result

Marvin Sonsona of the Philippines defeated WBO Jr. Bantamweight Champion Jose Lopez in their fight in Canada. Sonsona got the nod of all judges thus winning the fight via unanimous decision.

Lopez was knocked down in the fourth round and tailing the score cards since then. There were some scary moments for Sonsona when he looked like to be out of gas due to body shots from the champion.

Further, Lopez hit Sonsona with a couple of low blows and that hurt Sonsona more. But nevertheless, Sonsona found his rythm and used his long reach advantage and power to surpass Lopez.

The low blows got two point deductions for Lopez and that cost him his title. The final score from the three judges were 114-111, 115-110, and 116-109.

Before the fight, many fight critics and fans were speculationg that Marvin Sonsona is all hype and may just follow the fates of Boom Boom Bautista and AJ Banal. But with tonight's performance of Sonsona, he prove them all wrong and we've got another pinoy world champion.

Marvin Sonsona is the second youngest Filipino boxing world champion next to Morris East.

Sonsona is the third currnet world boxing champion from the Philippines together with Donnie Nietes and Manny Pacquiao.

Sandara Park Goes Solo

Sandara Park is going solo after a very successful stint with the all-female group 2NE1 under YG Entertainment.

A YG Entertainment insider said Sandara Park is going to release a single titled "Kiss" on Monday. "Kiss" is a dance song that expresses a woman's inner mind or desire for her partner to come closer and kiss her.

YG also revealed that Sandara's first single will be released on September 7, 2009 and Sandara will be promoting this song in Korea alone (minus the three 2NE1 members).

But this doesn't mean Sandara is going to leave 2NE1. In fact, her single will be part of 2NE1's new album to be released on October, 2009. YG also revealed that it's not only Sandara who is going to have a solo single. The other three members of 2NE1 will be having their respective solo singles soon.

2NE1 will end their promotion for their latest single "I Don't Care" this week. After that, Sandara will be going solo to promote her first single "Kiss" to her Korean fans.

Kristine Hermosa in "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" Primadonna Issue

Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales' soap "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" is gaining grounds in the primetime. In AGB Nielsen's latest TV ratings, "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" has already climbed to the number 2 spot coming second to "Darna" in the Mega Manila Area. In the TNS national ratings, "DMII" ranked 4th, with "Tayong Dalawa", "May Bukas Pa", and "TV Patrol" in the top 3, but nevertheless beats "Darna", which came fifth, by more than 2%.

Then came the primadonna issue. Kristine has been rumored to be too demanding in the set of "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" like asking for shortened work hours just like veteran actress Lorna Tolentino.

There are also talks of Kristine failed to rport to some in-location tapings since she didn't like the place. The taping was allegedly continued when her demand/request was granted.

Cancellation/delays of tapings were also due to her "attitude problems" and this irked her co-stars in the show.

But Kristine Hermosa's camp categorically denied the issue.

"No, it's not true! Everything is going smoothly. We don;t have problems at all, not that we heard of anything, especially something that involves Kristine," Kristine's handler Alan Real said.

About the tantrums; "Unlikely. That's actually funny. She is not like that at all. She is not one to throw tantrums just so she could have her way." Real added.

“She doesn’t have to ask for anything at all because everything is in the contract to begin with. She wouldn’t have signed up for the show if she will have problems with the schedule and everything,” Real said on the "shortened shooting schedule" issue.

About the issue that Bea Alonzo will replace her if she continues with her tantrums, "That's absurd. Untrue." stressed Alan Real.

Movies, Hosting, Album; Coming to Carla Abellana's Way

Carla Abellana just can't believe the blessings are coming to her career at this early stage. While her debut soap opera is strongly gaining grounds in TV ratings, movie projects, hosting projects and an album literally lined-up for her young showbiz career.

She currently co-hosts in SOP Rules and there is a talk she is going to co-host in the fifth season of StarStruck which is going to start this coming November. Carla will be hosting the reality show with hunks Dingdong Dantes and Raymond Gutierrez.

As contract star of Regal Films, Carla Abellana is going to appear in "Nieves The Engkanto Slayer" together with Marian Rivera which is an entry for the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival. Then her first movie "Ang Nanay Kong Aswang" is also slated this year.

"Mano Po 6", which is also a 2009 MMFF entry, is also lined-up for her which is a big challenge for her since she will be portraying opposite Megastar Sharon Cuneta and hunk Dennis Trillo.

About her album, it is under Universal Records which Carla admitted she is very excited about it.

"They are already preparing songs for the album. We've been attending meetings. My first movie under Regal Films, we'll start taping next month. Hindi pa final e, ang dami pa naming pinag-uusapan. Under negotiation pa ang maraming bagay pero I'm excited about it." Carla said.

Maricar Reyes: The Woman Behind Luis Manzano - Angel Locsin Rift?

Maricar Reyes has been rumored as the woman behind the reported Angel Locsin - Luis Manzano breakup. The rumors just don't die down as a number of showbiz websites and prints rporting this rumor is growing in numbers.

Due to this development, Luiz Manzano finally speaks up during the press conference of his upcoming film with John Lloyd Cruz and mom Vilma Santos titled "In My Life". Luis admitted that their relationship (Luiz and Angel) is going through what he called as a "phase" at the moment. But when asked about the Maricar Reyes angle he quickly denied it saying Maricar has nothing to do with it.

"I'd been hearing the weirdest stories, I don't need to elaborate. Ang sinabi ko never was, never is, walang third party," Luis emphasized to the press.

Maricar Reyes' involvement with the actor was when she was reported to be the leading lady of Luis in "Flash Bomba" but instead the role went to Roxanne Guinoo.
