Dr. Vicki Belo Says 'Sorry' To Boy Abunda

Dra. Vicki Belo has finally apologized to Boy Abunda through text message yesterday. This developed after Boy Abunda released his official statement thru SNN in reaction to the remarks of Dra. Belo during her guesting in Showbiz Central.

"I'd just like to apologize for the statement I made in Showbiz Central. I'm really sorry that I offended you. Hope you accept my apology," Dra. Belo said in her text message which was shown by Boy Abunda in his showbiz talk show SNN.

It can be remembered that Dra. Belo uttered the words “All I’d like to say is, if you want to look like Boy Abunda , go to Calayan, But if you want to look like Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual, come to Belo." which reportedly hurt Boy Abunda.

A lot of friends of Boy came to his defense like Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Mariel Rodriguez and even Drs. Manny and Pie Calayan who issued an official statement in behalf of their clinic supporting Boy.

Ruffa Gutierrez meanwhile, who is an endorser of Belo Clinic and co-host of Boy Abunda in "The Buzz", maintains her neutrality and hopes everything will be patched-up soon between them.

Now that Dra. Belo apologizes, a lot of showbiz people are still waiting for the reaction of Boy Abunda on the "apology" issue. One writer says that the apology through text may have added an insult to the injury since he doesn't see any sincerity in Dra. Belo's "texted" apology.

Some also say that maybe Boy has already accepted Dra. Belo's apology due to his facial expression upon reading the text message but others say otherwise.

Some Dra. Vicki Belo's friends however say Dra. Belo has nothing against Boy Abunda. During the interview, she said she had no intention to insult Boy. What she said (during the interview) just came to her mind spontaneously when asked by Mo Twister about the competition between her clinic and the Calayan's.

If she had just explained her side clearly, the rift between her and Boy didn't escalated this far. A lot of their common friends however are hoping Boy Abunda is going to accept Dra. Vicky Belo's apology.

Dra. Vicki Belo vs Boy Abunda In The Making?

Dra. Vicki Belo and Boy Abunda's rift is just getting hotter.

It all started in Showbiz Central's "Gimme Mo" segment. She was asked for her comment on the growing number of her clinic's rivals, especially the Calayan Surgicentre of Dr. Manny Calayan.

"Well, first of all, I feel kinda bad. Kasi, ako naman ang nag-umpisa ng mga bati-bati ng mga artista. I feel bad, kasi parang ginagaya lang nila ako. Sana naman, maghanap naman sila ng unique marketing... And I'd like to say, if you want to look like Boy Abunda, then go to Calayan. But if you like to look like Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual, come to Belo." Dra. Belo answered.

Then she added; "Joke lang yun ha? Pero Boy is the main endorser of Calayan, right?"

That interview made the spark. The camp of Boy Abunda didn't like what they heard. First to come in the scene for Boy was Ai-Ai Delas Alas saying "a professional like Dra. Belo shouldn't be uttering those words that can hurt other people's feelings."

Dr. Manny Calayan just released an official statement (thru PEP) supporting Boy:

"We are behind Boy Abunda, 101 percent. We understand his feelings and reactions to the ridiculing and insulting remarks he sustained from Dra. Belo. Promoting one's business or services by stepping on someone was uncalled for. Besides, Dingdong Dantes used to be our endorser and part of what he has become came from our services, and so did other of her big named endorsers: Claudine Barretto, Ruffa Gutierrez, and sexy actress Katrina Halili.

There's a simple reason for our 'TO C IS TO BELIEVE' campaign and that's more about inner beauty that's from a good and sincere heart like Boy Abunda, which transcends outward a person's life and touches other people's lives. And through that inner beauty, we see and believe in the beauty of other people and we believe in their goodness! We accept whoever you are, we make you feel good. That's the Calayan experience and that's TO 'C' IS TO BELIEVE!"

Then came the most awaited - Boy Abunda's statement via SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon):

“Vicki, if you are watching, alam mo kahit kailan, hindi ako namuhunan sa gandang panlabas dahil wala ako noon. Alam mo, namuhanan ako ng sipag, tiyaga, dasal. At Vicky, wala akong ilusyong maganda, wala akong ilusyon. Pero wala din sinuman ang may karapatang manlait sa aking pagkatao.

Last night, 10 o’clock in the evening I got a call from my nanay from Samar. Vicki if you are watching, you know that I did not do anything bad to you to deserve this insult.

Dr. Vicki Belo and Boy Abunda are both respected in their own fields. We just hope everything will be patched up soon.

Sarah Geronimo And John Lloyd Cruz Talks About "You Changed My Life"

John Lloyd Cruz said he will surely miss Sarah Geronimo after their team-up in "You Changed My Life" movie.

“After 'You Changed My Life', we’ll go on separate ways professionally in the meantime but I’m sure it’s not our last screen partnership,” John Lloyd said in an interview with The Journal.

“Having her on the set makes everything seems so light and stress-free. You’ll always have a good laugh and you’ll leave the site with a very light feeling.”

When he was asked if there's a chance that he will fall in love with Sarah; “I don’t know yet. In the first place, we don’t exactly know what’s in store for us in the coming days. All I can say is that I find Sarah someone who’s not hard to love. Any man would be proud to have her as a girlfriend,” John Lloyd answered and smiled.

But Sarah, in another interview, said she is not yet ready for a romantic relationship. The showbiz community put her on the news when she admitted she has a secret crush in showbiz. But just recently, she revealed that she just realized that she is not yet capable of handling a serious relationship.

However, Sarah is now linked to Rayver Cruz and she said that she ses nothing wrong if she is getting closer to the actor. Sarah worked with Rayver and John Lloyd in the film "You Changed My Life".

Sarah admitted that she is very excited and pressured for the performance of their movie in the box office. It can be remembered that Sarah was named by SM Cinema as the Box Office Queen of 2008, edging Ai-Ai Delas Alas for her "Ang Tanging Ina".

When asked about the issue between her and Ai-Ai over the box-office Queen title;

“For me, Ms. Ai is the box-office queen. She knows that I love her. I’ve worked with her before and I’m hats off to all her accomplishments. But I’m also very grateful to SM Cinemas for giving me the title." Sarah said with all humility.

"You Changed My Life" is slated to hit the big screens nationwide on February 25, 2009.
