Oprah Says Ms. Philippines Deserves to Win the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant

There are websites that quote Ms. Oprah Winfrey who says Ms. Philippines should have won the Miss Universe Pageant. Here is what Oprah said:

"I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point."

Coco Martin and Matteo Guidicelli Fights Over Maja Salvador

Actors Coco Martin and Mateo Guidicelli were said to be featured in a fistfight during the Star Magic Ball held at the Salon De Ning. This brought the party into a commotion and that event was highlighted in various showbiz talks the day after.

It is said that the reason why the two actors were in a brawl was actress Maja Salvador. During the interview of Boy Abunda in The Buzz, Maja admitted that she was the reason why the incident happened. She further admitted that Matteo is her real life boyfriend and that he get jealous to Coco Martin when the latter kissed her in the lips.

After the fight was over, there were some bruises in the face of Matteo, which it means that he received more of the telling blows from Coco. Some observers say that the training of Coco Martin in martial arts for his action films helped a lot in that fight. Both actors were sorry for what happened.

Kim Chiu and Piolo Pascual in a New Movie

Piolo Pascual and Kim Chiu are going to pair in a movie project that is now currently in the buzz although there is still no final detail on it. As early as today, there are already critics that are trying to undermine the project. Rumors came out that the project is already in the shelves.

But those rumors are not true. In fact, the script is already in the hands of Piolo and Kim Chiu and they are already reviewing it. Fans of Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu are very happy that finally Kim has moved on and is now having a new love team in the person of Piolo.

Willie Revillame Hits Wall Street Journal

Willie Revillame proves that he is not only for the local entertainment scene but for international media as well. Willie has been featured in no less than the Wall Street Journal in a full page spread titled "Willing Willie Jolts Philippine TV".

The author of the article is James Hookway who talks about the Philippine TV scene since Willie transferred from ABS-CBN to TV5. He noted that TV5 grabbed 29% of the weekend prime-time audience share in Mega Manila overtaking ABS-CBN in the fourth quarter of 2010. Willie Revillame currently hosts the show with Shalani Soledad.

Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson in Catch Me...I'm Falling

Pop singer Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson are going to star in the upcoming romantic movie "Catch Me...I'm Falling" under Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment. This will be the summer offering of the said movie outfits for the year 2011.

As of this writing, Sarah and Gerald have already finished one scene of the movie and with that short span of time working together, they are already saying positive things about each other.

"Nakaka-isang eksena pa lang kasi kami, but after this concert [What Love Is held last February 12], I'm sure, everyday na kaming magkakasama. But dun sa isang beses na nakatrabaho ko si Sarah, nakita ko na talagang focused siya. Talagang she will make it sure na maganda ang kalabasan nung project namin.", Gerald said in an interview.

Sarah on her part, praises Gerald in his professionalism and his respect towards her.

"Catch Me...I'm Falling" is directed by Mae Cruz and is scheduled to be in more than 100 theaters nationwide on March 23, 2011.
