Anne Curtis Says Vice Ganda and Direk Bobet Vidanes Are Okay

There has been rumors going around the compound of ABS-CBN that "It's Showtime" director Bobet Vidanes resigned from the show due to the antics of the host Vice Ganda. There has been no confirmation to it but it is the talk of the town these days.

Some press members cornered Anne Curtis, co-host for the show, and asked her on her side about the issue. Anne categorically denied however that Vidanes has resigned from the program. She said Vidanes has taken only a 'vacation' from the show and he already returned to the show last Friday, April 13.

“He was there Friday. Pumasok na siya. I think he just took a breaker. That’s just it,” Anne said.

“Well, as I always say, you can never stop people wanting to create rumors. It’s just part of show business. Wala, you just have to make it dedma. I think Vice already clarified that na," ended Anne Curtis.

Anne Curtis reacts to Liz Uy-PNoy 'romance'

MANILA, Philippines – Celebrity stylist Liz Uy is laughing off rumors romantically linking her to President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, her close friend said Monday.

During the renewal of her contract with ABS-CBN, "Showtime" host Anne Curtis told abs-cbnNEWS.com that the Aquino-Uy supposed romance is an old issue, and Uy has long been aware of the spreading speculations.

"Hindi ba matagal na yon? Matagal na naman 'yon. Siyempre hindi maiiwasan na she's on the team with everyone, with Paul Cabral, with Juan (Sarte). So, siyempre siya ang babae, siya ang bibigyan ng kulay, siya ang babae. And I think it's understandable kung mali-link kasi ganoon nga, pero wala, it's all part of the business," Curtis said.

Uy, Preview Magazine's fashion editor-at-large, is part of a team that takes care of the President’s wardrobe and looks. She is also a close friend and stylist of the President's youngest sister, actress-television host Kris Aquino.

Curtis also said she sees nothing wrong if the 50-year-old bachelor President will fall in love with Uy, who is now unattached.

Uy used to date actor John Lloyd Cruz. Aquino, on the other hand, was reported to have broken up with Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad, his girlfriend of more than a year.

Curtis said: "If ever it should happen, of course naman, Presidente natin ‘yan, hindi ba?"

"Wala naman, natatawa lang naman siya. Sino ba naman din siya para magamit? Wala din naman siya sa posisyon noon. If ever ginawa niya yon ako din ang magsasabi sa kanya, 'Hoy, dapat nga ang haba ng hair mo,’" Curtis added.

The actress said she does not know how Uy would react if she finds out that the issue is being resurrected. She said her celebrity stylist friend is currently confined at a hospital due to food poisoning.

"I don't know kung nakarating na sa kanya. Actually, ngayon lang na bring-up ulit," Curtis said.

New contract

Curtis, one of ABS-CBN’s brightest stars, renewed her one-year contract with the Kapamilya network.

Under her new contract, Curtis is set to do 2 television series, including “Green Rose.” In “Green Rose,” she will star opposite Jericho Rosales.

She will also continue to be part of musical variety show “ASAP XV” and afternoon program “Showtime.”

Contrary to speculations, Curtis said she has never received any offer from rival networks.

On Mariel Rodriguez issue

Meanwhile, for the first time, Curtis broke her silence on Mariel Rodriguez- Toni Gonzaga rift.

Rumor has it that Curtis was the one who told Gonzaga that Rodriguez was badmouthing her.

But Curtis clarified that she has nothing to do with the issue, stressing that her friendships with the two female stars are okay.

"Hindi ako ‘yon, ang masasabi ko… I'd rather stay out of it. Basta ako okay ako kay Mariel, okay ako kay Toni, okay ako kay (Luis) Manzano. So, out ako diyan," Curtis said.

Rodriguez and Manzano are also not on speaking terms, but Manzano declined to reveal the reason behind their misunderstanding.

"The Wedding" is a light romance teleserye from ABS-CBN featuring Anne Curtis, Zanjoe Marudo and Derek Ramsay. The original airing date was on May 11, 2009, but since fellow co-star Eula Valdez has commitments with her soap opera on GMA Network, they made a deal with Valdez not to air the date until her series from the rival network will be over. Now the official date will be air on June 29, 2009.

Plot:

Sam Milby Reconciles with Anne Curtis

Sam Milby is leaving for the US on June 25 together with the other members of Star Magic talents for a series of shows there. They are going to stay there for a week so Sam and the cast of "Only You" which includes Angel Locsin are taping advance episodes for the said show.

Anne Curtis, his ex GF, just arrived from her European vacation and members of the press asks him if they have already seen each other. "No. But she texted me. She said she has some pasalubongs for me," Sam replied smiling.

When asked for any chance of reconcilliation, "Anything is possible and we're not closing any doors, but we've moved on so wala nang balikan. I'm just glad that we're friends again, unlike before na we reaaly don;t talk." he said.

Sam is also very happy that his soap with Angel is doing good in the ratings.

"I'm glad people like us being paired with each other. Angel is so easy to work with kaya masaya kami sa set." Sam ended.

Anne Curtis Says Sam is the Hottest

Anne Curtis was launched as the latest celebrity endorser of Greenwich, one ofthe leading fastfood chains in the Phlippines, last February 16, 2009. Reporters had the chance to ask her about her career plans and of course her lovelife.

One reporter asked about her dream role; "Like Angelina Jolie roles. She has a lot of off-beat roles," Anne said referring to Angelina's role in "Girl Interrupted".

"I'm not sure kasi if the Filipino audience is open to those kind of roles but I'd really love to play an off-beat role." she continued.

She also cites her role in "Maging Sino Ka Man" as one of her favorite roles and wished for such role in future projects.

When asked about her lovelife/crushes, Anne said "Sam Milby is still the cutest and the hottest".

Anne also admitted she is fascinated to discount designer shoes because they are environment friendly. She is also compared by some critics to Vanessa Hudgens (you can see Vanessa Hudgens Pictures here).

Anne is also slated to portray the role of Candice de Menes in the ABS-CBN upcoming soap "The Wedding" opposite Zanjoe Marudo and Derek Ramsey. As its title implies, "The Wedding" is set to premiere on the wedding month of June.

"Baler" Full Trailer and Synopsis

"Baler" is the official entry of VIVA Films in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. It is topbilled by Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis under the direction of Mark Meily.

It is a story of love that blossomed in the middle of war in 1898.  This happened during the encounter between the 57-man Rifle Batallion of the Spanish military and the Filipino forces, which is now referred as the Siege of Baler.

Feliza Reyes (Anne Curtis) is a young Filipina who fall in love with Celso Resurrecion (Jericho Rosales), a half-Spaniard/half-Filipino (Indio) soldier who chooses to serve the Spaniards against the Filipino insurgents who are fighting for their independence.

Nanding (Phillip Salvador), Feliza's father and a member of the rebel movement, objected to Feliza and Celso's romance. But their love for each other grows so strong that even her father and the war could not break it.

The cast includes Joel Torre, Michael De Mesa, Baron geisler, Nikki Bacolod, Rio Locsin, Carlo Aquino, Ryan eigenmann, Leo Martines, Bernard Palanca, Mark Bautista, Alvin Anson and Jao Mapa. The movie is set to hit the big screen on December 25, 2008.
